Yantras are geometric structures or diagrams used for rituals or worship. In ‘Guru Parampara’, once the student is established into a mantra practice, the teacher initiates the student into yantra or mandala practice. Symbolically, yantras are considered as the form of consciousness. They are precise geometric constructions & have rich symbolism and when explored, give a deeper understanding of the self and the divine. Yantra is derived from root ‘Yam’(Yam + Tra = Yantra), meaning to sustain or to hold the energy. In simplest meaning, any mechanical device such as watch, which is used for monitoring the time, is Yantra.

Yantra is made with some geometrical linings, numbers, symbols and patterns which has cosmic powers and which is activated with the help of it's prescribed mantra and proper rituals and this too has much power and create the orbit of powerful waves of cosmic energy which can be used for betterment of life as per the need.

Both Mantra and Yantra were revealed to sages during the deep meditative state. In the essence mantra yantra and deities are the same. Most mantras are associated with a deity a mantra is a subtle form of yantra and yantra is the abstract translation or form of audio deity and a deity is the grass form of mantra.
